no experience required. teens 13-18 only.

Runtime is Hack Club program where teens can learn how to make a PCB and get the money to build it! You'll spin for an input, output, and connector and you're tasked with making a PCB that uses those 3 parameters.
Anyone 13-18! No hardware experience required, we have guides to teach you!
Hack Club is a non-profit organization and a community of 100k+ teenage makers. We run events online and in-person that reward people making open source projects. Thanks to our donors we are always running crazy events at no cost for teens.
Yep! All Hack Club programs are free to participate in. For Runtime, spend at least 5 hours designing your PCB and we'll send you a $20 grant to manufacture your board. Keep building past 5 hours and we'll add $5 for every extra hour to your grant.
That's okay! We have guides made for beginners, and there are thousands of teenagers just like you who are learning right alongside you on the Hack Club Slack. Runtime is made for beginners, and we want more teens building hardware!
All your design and production files should be in a GitHub repo, along with your firmware. Your journals should also be in your repo (written in markdown). Check out the "What do I need to submit?" section on your Runtime Dashboard.
